Our Story

La Jama TV is an urban food show rooted from the streets of Miami, blending culture, hip-hop, and a mission for bold flavor and good eats. Hosted by Chef Frankie (Rene Zerquera), a chef with culinary chops known for saucy, crave-worthy creations, and SoFla (Guillermo Alfonso), an award-winning short documentary filmmaker running the crew behind the scenes, this duo takes you straight into the action.

From corner food trucks in Miami to timeless restaurant staples, hip new venues, and hidden gems worldwide with a Latino twist (think croquetas in Japan), Frankie and SoFla dive into every scene with raw energy, belly-filled laughs, and a neighborhood vibe that makes you feel like you’ve gone out to eat with good friends from the block.

Set to urban beats and cut with a fast, comical style, La Jama TV brings Miami’s hustle to buzz-worthy food experiences. Think “Drink Champs” meets Anthony Bourdain—Miami style: where the hosts kick back over good eats with chefs and restaurant owners, telling it how it is — raw, funny, and real. It’s less about polished interviews and more about feeling like you’re hanging at the table with legends. That’s the vibe La Jama TV brings to food — bold, uncensored, and always centered on culture.

Watching La Jama TV is more than just tuning into a food show — it’s like rolling out with friends from the block to discover where flavor, culture, and community meet.

It’s bold. It’s real. It’s unscripted.

Chef Frankie: Miami’s Sauce Boss

Chef Frankie is the Sauce Boss of La Jama TV — a chef with serious culinary chops and a flavor game that can’t be ignored. Known for his saucy, crave-worthy creations — from breaded steaks, a.k.a. Latino "bistec empanizado", dripping in bold sauces to stacked burgers that hit every craving — Frankie brings a unique style that turns everyday eats into mouthwatering masterpieces.

His cooking is all about bold flavor, unapologetic portions, and food that makes you want to lick your fingers clean. Whether he’s layering sauces on a steak or adding his twist to street classics, Frankie’s plates always bring the energy, the culture, and the flavor La Jama TV is known for.

For Frankie, food isn’t just cooking — it’s storytelling, it’s community, it’s life on the block served hot.

The duo behind La Jama TV brings viewers along for an unscripted ride through food trucks, hip restaurants, and hidden gems worldwide.
